March 2022

Occasionally I dive deep into my archive to share communication advice that never gets old! This month’s blog addresses why taking your time solves quite a few problems for the intentional speaker.

In honor of Pipeline Playwrights' fifth birthday, an anonymous donor has challenged us to match their gift of $5,000!

Please help us celebrate by making whatever contribution you can to support us as we continue to bring women's stories to the stage for the next five years and beyond!

Donate Now

As a fun little incentive...
We're going to write a new play about the TWO winning states!

We've tabulated how many people in each state have donated to Pipeline Playwrights. During March, the state that has the biggest increase in number of donors, and the state that has the largest increase in percentage of people donating, will each win a play about that state! We'll present them online for Pipeline's audience at a future event.

Please help spread the word and let the theatre lovers in your state know that donations of any size count!

February 2022

Inspiration for my newsletter and blog can come from a variety of sources. This week it was an episode of The Crown! Even a monarch is not immune from the fact that speeches influence audience perception, and consequently, any relationship that may (or may not) follow!

January 2022

Happy New Year! And congrats for making it through 2021 in one piece.

We’ve all been through a lot— and some of the weirdness of our current situation is showing up in our speech. People have lost a sense of flow; there are lots of choppy, disjointed sentences being uttered out there. Read my blog this month to find a creative way to smooth out your delivery.
